Ohhh! I love celebrations of any kind...make me the star and I'll shine every time! I'll take a 10 please! Usually my birthday means I can get to choose what I want to do.....the last four years we have been at the National Missionary Conference so it has been just another day!

I wear clip on sunglasses over my glasses....I know super nerd lives!

What is your favorite kind of bread? I've never met a bread I didn't like! (and I've got the figure to prove it!) Man shall not live on bread alone.....but I could pretty much make a meal of it. I love sourdough, oatmeal, yeast, whole grains, pumpernickel, etc.

When was the last time you bought a new pillow? Four years ago? Hmmm....sounds like some pillow shopping is in my future.

Approximately how many hours per week do you spend surfing the ‘net? Maybe 2 hours....most of the time I read the blogs of my friends.

What’s the highest you remember your temperature being? I ran 103.6 when I had pneumonia once. I usually start feeling lousy at 99.6 though. I remember feeling horrible, taking my temp and feeling cheated that it was only 99.6. I so deserved a higher number!

When you were a child, which crayon color was your favorite? My favorite color is blue but I liked the bright vibrant colors in the 64 color box. I loved the reds, hot pinks and magenta . Opening a new box of crayons still gives me a thrill.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest), how likely would you be to change jobs if it required you to move? I'd move in a heartbeat depending on the circumstances....I'll take a 10.

Have you ever “re-gifted” anything? If so, what was it and who did you pass it on to? When our first baby arrived we were given 36 baby blankets , receiving blankets and quilts . Our daughter was born in the winter in Montana and all our Southern friends and family thought she would freeze. Consequently we gave a baby blanket to all our expecting friends for years.

Appetizer
When you travel, which mode of transportation do you prefer? I prefer to drive depending on time and distance. I like to stop when I want to stop and check out places of interest. We fly when we go to Canada and I always have a "death grip" on Mr. Wonderful the whole time.


Soup
Have you ever met a blogging friend in person? Yes, and it is always fun! I highly recommend it and especially if you can get a group of bloggers together. I've met 6 other bloggers so far and it's been an great experience (no axe murderers in the bunch!)




Salad
When was the last time you were really, really tired? Practically every day. We work at a warehouse and there is always lifting and loading to do. The work is never done we just quit for the night! It is physcially very demanding.




Main Course
If you could have dinner with any one fictional character from a book or movie, who would it be? I love Agatha Christie books and I think Miss Jane Marple would be a delightful person to dine with. Miss Marple is an amateur crime solver who often "owes her success to intuition and nosiness. Operating on the theory that human nature is universal, she ferrets out the criminal by his resemblance to someone she has known in her native village of St. Mary Mead, since her knowledge of life extends little farther."

The love, affection and trust of Mr. Wonderful over 33 years ago.

Name something you do that is a waste of time.
I am the reigning Snood Queen in my household. It is a video game that requires skill, coordination, and timing. I kill snoods when I'm frustrated, bored, or need some down time. It's addicting.


Main Course
In what year of your life did you change the most? Probably the year that Mr. Wonderful finished seminary, moved us across country in a wheat truck to a small rural church in Bloomfield, Montana. I was 4 months pregnant with our first child and we were far away from friends and family.

Dessert
Where is a place you consider to be very tranquil? My own back yard. We live in the country and I am surrounded by the things I love. ( Shade trees, gardens, grape vine, birds, pets and of couse daisies!)

My all time favorite news anchor is Walter Cronkite.
Walter Leland Cronkite, Jr. (b. November 4, 1916) is a now-retired American broadcast journalist, best known as anchorman for the CBS Evening News (1963-81).
He was often cited in viewer opinion polls as "the most trusted man in America", because of his professional experience and fatherly demeanor.

If you were to have the opportunity to name a new town or city, what would you call it?
Daisy Chain.....The street lights would be shaped like daisies, the traffic lights would be daisy shaped, the traffic signs would have petals behind their familiar shapes, the streets would be lined with daisy patches, and the Sun would always shine!

What is your usual bedtime? Do you like that, or would you rather it be different?
I'm a night owl. I worked the night shift for over 25 years so I go to bed any time between 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. I like the quietness of the house and the time to decompress and reflect over the day.

When it comes to advice, do you give more or receive more?
I'm sure I give way more but I try not to give any advice unless I'm asked. One of my favorite cards says, "Are we getting wiser? or is every one else just stupider? There should be some advantages for having had lots of life experience!

Salad
Describe a memorable meal you've had.
I'm with Melli on this one. It's not so much what I ate but who I was with at the moment. Any meal with the whole family home is a rare occasion and even peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches become a celebration. Our Lovely Laughing Ladies Luncheon was an event as we were able to connect 5 bloggers together at one time. I doubt any of us remember the food....but we will never forget the event!

Name a work of fiction that affected the way you think about something.
The Red Tent gave me a clearer look at the life style of women in Biblical days. It had so many delicious details that the Bible doesn't include. It reminds me of what the Bible would have been like if women wrote it.

What is your favorite type of fruit juice?
I like apple anything.....so of course I like apple juice best.

What does the color pink make you think of?
As a child, the color pink always reminded me of cotton candy (it was the only color it came in back then). As a health care professional the color pink reminds me of Breast Cancer Awareness and of several close friends who have gone through treatments.

Name something you thought you had lost, but later found.
I lost my new cell phone. I was sorting used clothing and it fell out of my pocket. The pile of clothing was huge and we couldn't hear it because of the noise in the gym. Two days later Mr. Wonderful (who's definitely hearing impaired) found it in the clothing . It was against a metal retaining wall and the ringing made the metal vibrate and amplify the sound. I call Mr. Wonderful my finder.....he just grins and says, "Well, if I'm the finder what does that make you?"

My children refer to me as their "blog obcessed mother" does that give you a clue?

What kind of perfume or cologne do you like to wear?
I love Shalimar. Mr. Wonderful says I should just put a tab of vanilla extract behind each ear and it would have the same effect. Gotta love that man!

Where on your body do you have a scar, and what caused it?
I have a scar right behind my left knee. We had just moved into a new house and I was moving a box when I accidentally cut it on a broken shelf that someone had left on top of another box. It was a deep cut and bled a lot so I ended up getting stitches. (Mr. Wonderful says, "You're not really injured unless you need stitches!).

What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle?
Most recently walking away from an accident that totaled both cars without injury. God has also multiplied our money and provided us with 2001 Subaru Forrester for less than half of list price.

Name a television personality who really gets on your nerves.
Currently it's hearing about Anna Nichole or Brittney Spears. I feel sorry for them and hope Brittaney will get the help she needs while she still has an opportunity to be a positive influnence on her children.

What was a funny word you said as a child (such as "pasketti" for "spaghetti")?
My mom had a friend that would always call me "Snookums". She said one day I got really mad and said, "Me not Nookums.....Me Caffey!"

What sound, other than the normal ringing, would you like your telephone to make?
My cell phone plays a cute little calypso tune that makes me want to dance. I miss a lot of calls just listening to the music instead of answering the phone! One of my favorite sounds is baby laughter but then again I would be listening and laughing and not answering.

Describe your usual disposition in meteorological terms (partly cloudy, sunny, stormy, etc.).
Cloudy and cold (until my first cup of coffee) gradual warming trend till noon, followed by sunny skies and scattered showers.

What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subjects?
The care and feeding of my family. I know their moods, their favorite foods and their habits.

Imagine you were given the ability to remember everything you read for one entire day. Which books/magazines/newspapers would you choose to read? The Bible.

If a popular candy maker contacted you to create their next confection, what would it be like and what would you name it? I like the combination of salty and sweet so it would definitely have chocolate involved. It would be heart healthy and burn more calories eating it than what you consume. It would be called "Daisy Delites!" and it would taste like MORE.

Name one thing you think people assume about you when they first meet you. I assume they think that I'm genuinely friendly.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how hard do you work? Hmmm.....when I work, I work hard, when I play I play with great gusto but I'm not named Lazy Daisy because of my great persistence. If I'm passionate about a project I'm a 10, otherwise something more interesting will capture my attention and I'll wander off.

Main Course
If you were given a free 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl to sell anything you currently own, what would you advertise? I wouldn't try to sell anything but would try to raise awareness of social or political injustice going on around us that we tend to turn a blind eye toward till it affects us personally.

If you could take lessons to learn any musical instrument, which would you want to learn? I'm not very musical, I have a hard time even playing the radio or CD player.

Have you ever mistaken a person for someone else? Yes, and I called them by the wrong name every time I saw her and what's worse, she always answered to the wrong name. This went on for over a year till I was talking about her using the wrong name and some one said, "Do you mean so in so? That's when I found out I had been calling her the wrong name all this time.

Salad
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how well do you keep secrets? Pretty well unless some one will be hurt by my not telling. I can and do keep confidences.

Main Course
What's the closest you've ever been to a dangerous animal? This is one skiddish girl so not close at all. Probably the closest was at a zoo at a very respectable safe distance.

Dessert
When was the last time you lost your patience? Probably on a daily basis but not enough to have a "hissy fit" as we say in the south. Just enough to be irritated.

Name a song that makes you want to dance. Who needs music when there's always a song in my heart and in my head. I especially love "happpy dances" that celebrate victories and accomplishments of friends.
