The Long Goodbye Begins

For those who have been asking about Oreo, he is still with us but wasting away. He sleeps most of the time and doesn't want his treats or food. Saturday, I made homemade chicken noodle soup, and he likes that...Jewish mother penicillin!   He rallied a little after that, he liked the noodles, and they were easy to chew.  He is thinner now than when we got him as a rescue dog living on the streets.  He doesn't seem to be in any respiratory distress at this time, so we continue with palliative care. Dad carries him up the stairs when he's too shaky to walk and he knows that he is loved.
