Life at the Nest!

It doesn't seem possible that a whole week has gone by so quickly. It was a busy week with lots of things accomplished. Suzy and Tim have been working on "the Nest" and now I have a new built in corner desk that overlooks the back yard. Suzy says it looks like something that came for "The Pottery Barn". I'm quite fond of the room and what a nice job they did of moving the stackable washer and dryer and making me a new bulletin board and shelves for my"old friends".

Suzy worked miracles in the garden. She has replanted the beds and mulched and added some much needed color. Most of the plants are perennials so will come back next year....with a little luck and much miracle grow!

Our bedroom has taken on a new look also. Tim put in a wardrobe, shelves and cabinets. Our closet went from 6 inches deep to deluxe! Today Tim build a headboard from the antique door of our old closet. It really is pretty and you would never know from looking at it that it had been a door.

I find great comfort and security in our little home. It is warm, friendly, and almost hugs you when you walk in. It is a very inviting place, ......from the swing on the front porch to the tea kettle in the country kitchen . The outside is now very inviting with the new soft yellow daylillies on the side of the garage to the "black-eyed Susie's" and hostas in the shade of my favorite tree in the front. The kitties are always playing with a favorite toy or even a crumpled ball of paper and Spot, the faithful dog, always barks the arrival of anyone new to the front door. I also like the thought that the house is developing......with new ideas for future improvements!
My only regret is that I have so little time to actually enjoy it!

Note to self: Life is what you make it....enjoy every minute of it!
