The calling group from Grandview Christian Church celebrated Charlie's birthday on February 20th at his favorite restaurant. He turned 74, on February 15th. I call him my late Valentine.
He had an extended birthday this year and although he doesn't say much, I really think he was pleased. I made him gluten-free chocolate chunk cookies; his sister sent him a "Shoo-fly pie (definitely a high spot and his truly favorite dessert), Birthday Cake and family celebration with relighting candles, and the grand finale, Birthday Luncheon with the calling group. The birthday cupcakes were carrot cake or raspberry-filled.
