1. Today is Wednesday, the last Wednesday in April. Charlie teaches a women's Bible Study, on the last Wednesday of the month at the senior center. The attendance has been poor for the last month or two and Charlie gets discouraged. He has thought about closing it down several times since so few ladies attend. This week, nine came, and it was a really good study. Martha was back, she had been out with Covid and respiratory problems. Lynn, from our church, was there along with Jennifer, Wilma, and her sister as well as others. They were all happy to see us and the study went well. Charlie was very encouraged.
2. After Bible study, Charlie took me to Office Depot, and I got to buy a great office desk chair. They had about 15 that were on sale, and I sat in everyone looking for "the one" that was the perfect fit. I felt like Goldilocks trying out the beds in the three bears' home. One was too hard, one was too soft, one was too small, and one was too large till I found just the right one. It was deeply discounted but still, cost 150 dollars. The nice thing is it is already assembled, and they gave us an extended warranty. I spend quite a lot of time in my office, on the computer or making and sending out cards this chair fits me well, is ergonomic, has a headrest, and sidearms and cradles me. Thank you, mom, for this wonderful gift.
3. After loading the chair in our van we went through the drive-through of Chicken Salad Chick. We had been to this chain in Savannah 4 years ago, so I was thrilled that we actually have one in Johnson City now. They have 35 different varieties of Chicken Salad. We each got a scoop of a different variety along with Broccoli Salad just like my mom used to make. I felt very loved, and it was the best day ever.
