God is on the Move and so are we!

Mr. Wonderful and I have been on the move lately.  It is not very often that we actually leave the nest but July was the exception.   We were blessed to have everybody together in Johnson City over the 4th of July.  We were also able to celebrate Lyra Jane's very first birthday.  We had such a good time just being together.

I especially enjoyed seeing our children and their spouses getting to know each other as adults and do some activities together while we got to spoil our grandchildren. I love a win/win situation.

One of my special memories was watching my grown children playing with three foot sparklers on the front lawn after all the children were in bed.  They laughed and danced in the light rain while I watched safe and dry on the porch except for a few tears that escaped from my eyes.  Happiness is knowing your children are amazing adults and they are raising your awesome grandchildren.

Now comes the hard part.  Putting up our little nest for sale.  The nest has been our refuge for the past 13 years.  We have always wanted to do some improvements but never had the time, money or motivation.  Now we are doing the hard work so someone else can enjoy it.

So far we have added central heat and air conditioning, new windows (our house is 75 years old and many of the windows don't even open) and added a well as we don't have city water.  Mr. Wonderful has stripped and refinished the floors and put polyurethane on them also.

Last week we went looking for houses while we were in Johnson City and Suzy and Tim could go with us.  Most of my spare time for the last 3 months has been spent looking at houses that were for sale in that area on the internet.  Not only did we find the perfect house we put a contract on it and it was accepted.  The house had been listed in May and has had 2 other contracts on it that didn't go through.  We really feel that God was saving this house for us.

We are looking forward to living in Tennessee where we will be much closer to our grand boys.  The house is about 20 minutes away (far enough to not be in their business and close enough to see them frequently.)

Please join us in praying that God will sell our home quickly and we can get established in our new home and new ministry.
