Harvest Moon...... this is what I saw last night coming home about 9 P.M.
What a sight! I love the moon when its big and golden and looks so close that you can just reach out and touch it. Last night it had cooled down, the humidity was low, the fireflies were out, we had just a great dinner with friends and we were headed home after a long work day. It was a simple pleasure that cost nothing but made me feel very loved and blessed!
Q. What is a harvest moon?
A. Simply put, the harvest moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the date of the autumn equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.
According to my very practical and non-romantic mister......what I saw was merely dust and dirt in the atmosphere which makes the moon appear golden. (sigh) I like my viewpoint much better!
