I really like this picture. But then I'm big into hearts and romance
and I like old 40's movies and the hollywood Glamour Girls.
Today I actually felt like a movie starlet......I had breakfast with some
fabulous friends that always make me smile, giggle and feel like I'm the only person
in the world that they want to see.....( Thanks Dawn, and thanks Karen!)
Afterwards my somewhat moody Mr. took me downtown.......
First stop Broughton Street.
We parked by an antique shop and he bought me an earthquake star bolt holder
(something I've always wanted and never told him)
How bout that for a surprise!
Next we went to the Tea Room for tea supplies ( Yes, girls, it was for you!)
AND the same afore mentioned moody Mr. bought me a teapot charm
for my charm braclet.....(is it my birthday?)
As we were walking back to the car we saw Gottlieb's
( a very expensive looking place to eat and my mind went back
to their amazing Chocolate Chewies!)
The bakery closed 10 years ago.
Could they, would they, still have Chocolate Chewies after all these years!
Yes! Yes! Yes! If I'm dreaming let me sleep!
We bought a dozen and they threw in the extra for free.....
Just call me Holly Wood!
(Not) guilty pleasureThe chocolate in the famous chocolate chewies of Gottlieb’s Restaurant and Dessert Bar doesn’t hit you right away. Initially, you’re occupied by the crispness of this cookie, perhaps wondering, “Where’s the chocolate?” but still satisfied to have such a delightful, crunchy treat. The chocolate taste, which is actually more of a cocoa flavor, comes subtly as you near the center of the cookie, which is chewy and studded with pecans. Those watching their weight can be comforted by the fact that chocolate chewies contain only 4 fat grams per cookie, which comes from the nuts -- “the good fat,” said Ava Gottlieb. But beware: Eating just one of these cookies is as difficult as eating just one potato chip. Available at Gottlieb’s bakery, which is open 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. ($1 each, $13 per dozen; Gottlieb’s Restaurant and Dessert Bar, 1 W. Broughton St., 234-7447)
When we got back to the house....my friend Sandy gave me
a big bag of brightly colored boxes all for me.
Next to being the star of the show......this grrrl loves to be adored!
( cha ching.....just cashed in more humility points!)
Wow, oh wow, some daisy ear rings and bracelet, coffee bean candle,
spinning night light, and way cool coffe mug with two ladies
one dressed in blue ( my favorite color)
the other in purple (Sandy's favorite color).
This afternoon we went to a movie, visited a gifted scrap booker
(Holy Mackerel Batman....she was the pulitzer prize of scrap booking)
followed by dinner with old friends.
Tomorrow on to Atlanta and The Martins!
Yep definitely tinsel town, movie magic kind of day

Awwhh.... I am so glad you are being pampered and adored! (For that is the mission of the "blue-eyed girl" club!) Love you, momma!
