It's Friday Night and we are home at the nest. As you can see how eagerly my cats anticipated my arrival! Would you believe they are watching "Dad" put wood in the heater outside. So I decided to watch him too! He is quite diligent and has this down to a science. It's nice to come home while it is still light and not have to stuble around in the dark. As much of a chore that stoking the fire is...it has been a blessing to have an electric bill of 80 dollars even in the coldest months.
I like Fridays when Keith is away. My creative jucies go on overdrive and consequently the building gets decluttered of mammoth amounts of furniture or electronics that needed to be put out of it's misery. We threw away posters that some of the children had made. I think they had a 10 year run so I think we paid them enough homage! I may hear about it but the walls look better even though they despairately need paint.
Slowly but surely they building is starting to look better. However, the auction season is right around the corner and what limited space we do have will soon be taken up with other prizes bought at auction. It's hard to have a good spirit about "stuff". If we could see it going out at a faster rate I might feel diferently. Not having ever been an organized person it has been a uphill battle to get some handle on all that comes in the door. (Especially since a lot is stored in the hallways!) I think it looks tacky...but God has a plan so who am I to complain.
