Hello Blogger my old friend

Can you believe it's the Middle of August?  So what have I been doing?

Mostly sending out birthday cards, and home made encouragement cards to friends and friends of friends who need some extra encouragement.  I make my own cards and buy envelopes to mail them.  I have been through lots of boxes of envelopes lately . 

It looks like Covid is resurging and masks and nursing homes are starting to close again.  We had a church service on Sunday with our seniors and I am hoping that it won't be the last.  Our Sunday School class just started meeting together in July.  We just heard they are going back to Zoom meetings at 11 .

Mom quit talking several days ago.  We weren't sure if this is a new phase of Alzheimer's or if she was ill.  When she did talk she said her stomach hurt.  They took her to Montgomery for scans.  They found out she was dehydrated and had a severe urinary tract infection.  She is on IV fluids and antibiotics and guess what?  She's talking again.  Thank you Jesus!

She is back in the nursing home now in a private room for 2 weeks for isolation.  The room setup is just like her old room so maybe it won't up set her.  Because she does have a private room.  Bobbie can go visit her in her room anytime now.  

I was really worried that I might not get to see her again before she passes into eternity.  Thank you Lord for your grace and your goodness.

We have good friends Sandy and Mike Wagoner coming to visit us for several days from Illinois .  My office is the guest room so I have been scrabbling to take some of my junk up to the attic while they are here.

So much organizing so little time, or interest.
