Happy 69th Birthday

This was my best birthday gift.  Charlie and I went out to Firehouse Barbeque for my birthday dinner with Becky and Buddy Swain.  Becky is my prayer partner and my new best friend but I didn't have a single picture of us together.  So here it is and I like it very much.

It was a wonderful dinner and a great end of a week's celebration.  We were at ICOM last week and got to see lots of old friends.

I was really lonely when we moved to Tennessee.  Suzy had already picked out Becky to be my new best friend.  She didn't tell Becky but she told me all about Becky Swain and how much I would like her.  

When I ended up in the hospital with afibrillation for 5 days.  Becky and Buddy came to the hospital to visit me and brought me flowers.  She told me she had the same condition and the doctor she went to see.  She prayed with me.   It made me feel so much better.

I am the one who asked her if she would be my prayer partner.  We pray once a week over the phone.  I text her my prayer requests as they come up and she texts me when she has requested.

I had quite a few fears and physical problems during the first year.  I know she will pray for me whenever I ask and will follow up to see if the problems or fears have resolved.  I really kept her busy.  Our personalities are similar and she is definitely from my tribe and from my clan.  She makes me laugh.  She is my sparkle sister.  She is an amazing writer and I love that she can find something funny in just about every situation. She is incredibly smart and I am blessed to have her as my best friend.

Mrs. Swain who went to Spain in the rain, on a plane, not a train.  These are the things I love about you.  You keep things simple, you respect my time, you match my efforts, you keep your word, you are always honest and consistent, You always point me to the Word of God and you still love me even when I am a total mess.  (Yep that about covers it!)  Kathy
