Yes, I know...I haven't been posting. Life happens and I get distracted. This is a picture of me and my mom....( a Queen Elizabeth double). We spent the weekend with her and helped her. Mom doesn't drive anymore so we do a lot of driving around the city doing errands that she can no longer do by herself.
Mom has macular degeneration which greatly diminishes her field of vision. I think she is amazing and we are so glad for the help she gets from "Home Instead" on a weekly basis. She has a really good support system with the ladies in her Sunday School class. They keep close tabs on one another so it makes me feel a little better being 4 hours away.
These are my mom's friends and ladies in her Sunday School class. When we are home we always go to Sunday School with mom. Mr. Wonderful is often the only man (it's a ladies class) but mom does enjoy showing off her kids and the ladies are always glad to see us.
Mom is 85 and really active despite her inability to drive. She has a more active social life than I do. I just hope I'm as active as she is when I'm her age.
I love you Mom.
