This is our new cistern. Our old system had tree roots growing through it and caused our water to be contaminated. Charlie ended up in the emergency room because of it and then we were without water for a few days camping in the house. Running water from the tap is a good thing. I'm amazed at how often I take it for granted. The new holding tank will hold 1700 gallons and we are collecting water from the roof now that will also help fill the tank.
We were told it would cost about $3,500. It actually ended up costing over 5K. God was so good to us and all the money we needed came in to cover our expenses. What a totally wild experience!

Well it's about time you made a post, I was ready to send a tall, dark and handsome Mountie to go look for you!! hehe Wow, I had no idea a cistern was so expensive but when it comes to the health being affected, then it's worth it. I agree with you, we do take a lot of things for granted!! xoxo
Nice to see you posting. Nice looking cistern, I didn't know they were so expensive!
