I got several puzzles for Christmas. This one is called the Antiques Barn and has lots of items everywhere. The surprise came while putting it together and referring to the picture on the front of the box. I started finding surprises where there shouldn't be an item. I put together the table in front and found a telephone on top of it. Instead of two teapots there were three. I investigated by turning the box over to discover there were 10 items hidden in the puzzle that weren't shown on the picture on front of the box. It was a fun game to find all 10.
Once again there were two puzzle pieces missing which I credit to Sweet Pea having eaten them. This was a brand new (never before done) all pieces in the box puzzle. I did catch Sweet Pea with one cardboard piece in her mouth one time and have found pieces missing from other puzzles. I try to keep them all on the table and check the floor whenever I finish working on one. I only work a puzzle once then I give it away.
Charlie and I are on the visitation team that meets Tuesday mornings. This past week we visited Janet Davidson who is also an avid puzzle maker, so I took her a big bag of puzzles that I finished. I had noted on the front of each box if there were pieces missing and circle the area on the box where it would have been. ( I hate surprises!)
