New Year, New Goals, New Word, Yearly Testing

2025 is well on the way and every year we have yearly exams, and I have a 6-month CT of my kidneys to see if there has been any growth from my tumor.  I also went to my eye doctor Dr. Tammy Jones and had a comprehensive eye exam.  My early macular degeneration is better and there was a sale on Vision One vitamins plus I get 10 dollars off of one bottle as a birthday gift.  I should be set with eye vitamins for 6 months.

She also set up an appointment with her favorite eye surgeon Kevin Jackson.  I told her that Charlie has had both eyes done with Dr. Battle.  She prefers Kevin so I took her advice.  We both really liked this young doctor, and his nurse told us later that she has worked with both doctors and prefers Kevin.  He has a very good repour with his patients and I am now looking at cataract surgery February 5th for my left eye and two weeks later February 19th for my right eye.  I am very excited at the prospects of being able to see clearly. Presently I can't read the traffic signs till I am right next to the sign.  I am looking forward to having better vision.

I also had my yearly mammogram and only had to wait one day for the results.  I really like" my chart" on the internet as I can find out the results of any test long before I get official notice.

Yesterday was my 6-month checkup on my kidney ablation in Johnson City.  It was the easiest one out of all the previous times I have been.  I had a really nice radiology tech named Bethany.  She was very kind, efficient, and caring.  I had a ten-minute wait while the scans were being processed, and she made me very comfortable and even gave me a warmed blanket as it was chilly in the room.

We had snow the day before my kidney CT in Johnson City.  I got up at 5 am as you can't eat or drink 4 hour prior to the test and I have to eat some breakfast before I take my morning meds, or it makes me nauseated.  I had a bowl of grits and some hot tea.

Just heard that there is no new growth.  One more CT in July to pass then I will be cancer free and no more CT's.  Thank you, Jesus.
