Today makes 2 weeks since I have come to live with you, and this is what I learned:
1. I must walk on your left side while on the leash and not between your legs. (I personally feel more secure with you over me but can see that it makes it very hard to walk for both of us.)
2. I must not pee or poop in the house. (Sorry but when nature calls, I must respond!) I know I'm supposed to go to the door and wait while you get the leash to escort me outside but I'm not sure why you make me ring a bell. You are getting better at reading my potty dance signs.
3. I am not supposed to nibble on Mom or nip at Dad. Teething hurts and I'm going crazy with teething aches. I appreciate the chew toys you bought me. Please remember that the vet says it will be a problem for the next two months. I am trying really.
4, I am not responsible for anything that you left on the floor that gets chewed on. If I can reach it, it stays in play till you remove it.
5. Remember: English is my second language, so I don't always understand your words. I respond to rewards and praise. I want you to like me as much as I like you.
6. Thanks for letting me run around Aunt Suzy's fenced-in yard. What fun, it actually tired me out, and oh boy, I slept so well that night.
7. Do you think Cousin Madeleine will ever like me? I'm kind of scared of Max, thanks for protecting me.
