and the Oscar for the most patient Diva goes to....

I won, I won! No, not a gold statuette but my very own, real boy.... Oscar Elijah. His coming out party was yesterday afternoon and he was greeted by his adoring fans (Diva and Poppa) as well as a very tired, exhausted Momma and very protective Daddy.

The buzz on the red carpet suddenly came to a hush when he strolled by in his designer car seat, wearing a party pamper and matching cap and outfit. Mom was overwhelmed by his reception and promptly went to bed. (We were afraid that as a proper southern lady she might just swoon!)

The victory dinner was cubed steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, cantaloupe and grapes as well as crescent rolls . We call it southern comfort food and Oscar got his vicariously. This Diva and Poppa took the 3;30 AM feeding so the exhausted parents could take a victory nap.

Who wouldn't prefer this sweet face greeting you every morning, rather than a gold colored dust collector.?Let me tell you ladies, this boy is a potential heart breaker.

This is the second award we have won as a grandparents. Our first was an Emmy (or as we call her,"our Emma"). We are hoping to get the two together this Christmas. Who knows we may add a" Tony" or a "Pulitzer " some time in the future. As proud grandparents we are thrilled to welcome Oscar into the family.

Sorry I wrote Emily instead of Emmy, it's probably because my neighbor's grand daughter's name is Emily, lol !
