Miss you more than hot biscuits with butter

Some of you may have gotten an email from me that ended with "miss you more than hot biscuits with butter". Believe me.....that's a lot of missing.

Would you believe I dream about hot biscuits and butter? I had my last biscuits yesterday. I also ended my love affair with Peter Pan peanut butter, rice, pasta, and mashed potatoes.

I'm having my first filling of the lap band today which will make me feel full for longer periods of time. However, anything that makes a doughy ball can potentially get stuck and cause problems.

I'm learning a whole new way of eating! Wish me luck! These are foods that are gone....but not forgotten. Guess, I'll have to remember the good associations and attach the feelings to some new foods. Not to mention having to eat slower and really chew my food....which is actually a good thing.

Daisy Dilemma: Do you ever have food dreams?

Emma likes to Eat, Eat, Eat, also. Warning: This song will stay in your head for a long time!

Well, the one thing I can HONESTLY say is that NO - I don't believe I have ever dreamed of food! I've longed for it - but not actually dreamed about it! ;) But I think hot biscuits and butter IS the reason I could NEVER have this lap band surgery! I will PRAYING for you my friend! I do NOT want any gooey dough balls botchin' up your works!!!

Hmm, I don't think I've dreamed about food, but I've never had to go without biscuits.

Maybe to remember them, you can just bake them, and live off the smell. :)

Good luck with your lap band stuff. You're strong, you'll get through it!

You know..."miss you more than celery and carrot sticks" just doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?
I love you, girl!! ((hugs))

I hope your procedure went smoothly, and I know you'll find life without your yummy favourites challenging but doable Daisy. You've got so much love around you to replace the warm, biscuity feeling! Emma is cute as a bug. I remember that song, and I DO dream about food - daydreaming and night dreaming, but rather than biscuits, mostly ice cream.

I love biscuits and gravy! My downfall! Karen has lost 50 pound since the first of the year and we are trying to help her so we have been eating her kind of food and she doesn't get biscuits either!Yikes! I miss them!!

I know this is hard but you have a lot of support and that really does help!!!

Wishing you the very best of luck, dear Daisy...it certainly will be hard to get used to not being able to eat all your favourite foods but then again it's something you CAN do and will feel so much better for it:-) I tend to eat all the wrong foods as well...I always wonder why is it all the best food has so many calories??? lol I need to start watching what I eat...maybe you'll be my inspiration:-) I so loved the little video of Emma...yup, I'll be humming that song the rest of the day now. Grrrrr! lol Hope you're having a great weekend. I've closed all the curtains because I don't want to see the winter wonderland we have out there. UGH! I'll just pretend Spring is here. xoxo

I've been wondering how you have been since your surgery. I didn't realize you had to go back for further adjustments. I need to modify my eating habits, but I love chocolate!!
