Things to remember about 2007

Today is the last day of 2007!

It's been quite a year for us personally and quite a year for the world. I bought a Time Magazine "The Year in Review" for our Emma since she was born this year and may wonder what kind of world did she enter.

My Top 10 News stories for the year:

  • Continuing war in Iraq....more US soldiers deployed to keep the peace.
  • Santa Ana winds in California continue to spread wildfires in California to consume more than 400,000 acres, destroyed more than 2,000 homes and forced the temporary evacuation of as many as 1 million people.
  • Mass shooting at the Virginia Tech campus
  • Bridge collapse in Minneapolis during rush hour...13 killed, hundreds injured.
  • First female Speaker of the House ....Nancy Pelosi
  • I phone comes out, as well as "Wii's"
  • Trouble in Toyland.....many recalls of Chinese toys due to lead base paint.
  • Housing Bubble finally burst....house sales dried up.
  • Drug abuse tarnish top athletes.
  • Harry Potter final book was biggest selling novel of 2007.
All in all it was quite a year!

Sometimes I look back and think, "Wow, all that happened in a year?" Amazing! I love it that you got this for Emma. My Grandmother had old Life Magazines of moon walks and such and I LOVED THAT.

Have a great New Years' Eve, Daisy!!

Not very many good things happened this year...sheesh! Hopefully 2008 will see less violence and no wars!! New Year is a time for celebration of love, of life, of friendship. It's the time to thank God for wonderful friends, and to bring to their lives as much magic as they bring to ours...so here's celebrating our friendship and praying that its magic continues forever. Happy New Year to you and yours dear Daisy! xoxo

HAPPY NEW YEAR Daisy!!! May yours be blessed with as many GOOD things as last year (like grandbabies and such) but without all the heartaches - like accidents and such! I LOVE YOU dear!
