Sunday Seven.....The empty nest edition

Sunday Seven....The empty nest edition

1. This week has been busy getting back into the routine. Everyone is back in there own little nests and I have been washing up towels, and moving furniture and of course finding "souvenirs" of their visit.

2. I loved having my family home for my birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas all rolled into one glorious week. The house is very quiet now with just me and Mr. Wonderful. I miss the commotion, laughter, and yes, even the clutter.

3. Thank you family for all coming home. It was the best present I could have ever get. Each of you are so unique and special. You really helped to put the spring back into my limp and the "happy" back in my "Happy Dance."

4. We are so thankful that all our "kids" made it home safely. It is always so hard to see each of them leave.....it seems like a part of your heart always goes with them.

5. Thank you Tim, Suzy and Becky for decorating the house for Emma's first Christmas. You know how I love "firsts" when it come to Miss Emma. It was a special gift that I continue to enjoy daily.

6. Thank you Boy Wonder for my beautiful flowers, birthday cake and lunch. It was so good to have you home. Now that you know the way come home more often. (Just a thought!)

7. I'm looking forward to spending Christmas with my mom in Virginia Beach and spending New Year's in New York City with Andy, Suzy and Tim. I am so looking forward to seeing the tree at Rockefeller Center, the store windows and maybe even a Broadway Show....a girl can dream can't she?

That's all from a very lonely Daisy Patch this week. I am so thankful for friends and family that add the color, lights and decorations to the Christmas tree of our life. Each of you are loved, prayed up and prized. Cue the music, dim the lights and watch in wonder how our one little tree brightens up the whole nest.

Your triple scoop with hot fudge and cherry on top birthday/Thanksgiving/Christmas was a blessing indeed! You are truly surrounded by love, no matter how near or far away those dear ones may be. Have fun anticipating Christmas in New York!
