Sunday Seven...Balancing Act

Sunday Seven....The Balancing Act Continues!

1. Last week was my Survival Edition. Yes, praise the Lord we did survive even though it was an extremely hard week. We were not able to pack the container for Bolivia this weekend due to shipping problems that have complicated my life more than usual. We will be working on packing pallets and trying to get the paper work together before we actually pack the container.

2. It looks like the container will be packed on Oct. 19th while I'm in Savannah. In addition to 300 monitors and CPU's they will also be putting on a grand piano and two smaller piano's.

3. Saturday we used a youth group of 12 year olds to bring up 17 inch monitors up from the basement. We were able to put about 29 monitors on a pallet. We were able to get 5 done. Each monitor had to be weighed and the average weight was 35 pounds.

4. In order to leave for Savannah (without guilt) I'll have to burn the candle from both ends this week. Pray that we will be able to gather and inventory all the items that need to go on this container by the end of this week.

5. Please pray for my rather "crummy attitude". Being a very lazy daisy I'm really not looking forward to all the extra work this container is causing. I have a case of the terrible "Dreads". I'm sure I'll be alright once I wade in up to my elbows and start plugging away. (Sigh) I know, I know....."I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me". Some times I just need to keep reminding myself.

6. On a better note, I did see my primary physician who renewed my prescriptions for the following year. He gives me samples of Lipitor each month since he knows we don't have insurance and the drug cost about 120 dollars for 30 days supply.

7. Looking forward to hitting the road with the Mellinator for Savannah on Saturday. I'm sure the 10 hour drive will go quickly with non-stop talking and giggling and the anticipation of meeting up with some of the most awesome blogger babes! You know it will certainly be documented!

Thanks for the falling leaves from my Canadian Cutie......she's so sweet to change them for me. It was wonderful to talk to all my chicks this week (thanks kids....you're momma needed to hear from all of you!!!) Mr. Wonderful continues to attack all of this physical work like he is a 20 year old (even though his joints constantly remind him that he is not!).

Cue the music, dim the lights, and exit thankfully for surviving the week that was!

It's taking that first step that's so hard, as you know. My picture is what you'd see in the dictionary under "procrastination" - I can get the dreads with the best of 'em. You'll get it all done and have a great trip to Savannah.

Thanks for stopping by my cyberhome.

It sound like you have worked so hard!! Whew!! I think the dread of it sometimes is harder then the actual doing of it!!!
I love the falling leaves on your page! I am so ready for it to cool down...
You and Melli will have so much fun talking and laughing all the way to Sandy's! Love and Hugs, Carolyn

I will tell Nancy that you said to give her a hug! She will love that....

I'm definitely saving time for you all in Savannah. I can't wait.

Now, I know that sometimes when I feel like I'm crunched for time it's almost as if God allows time to stand still for me to get what I need to done. I'm praying you have those moments this week when things seem to be moving "abnormally forward".

Blessings to you!!

:-) Susan
