Sunday Seven....the What's up edition

Sunday Seven....What's Up Edition!

1. This is my last week of physical therapy. I still have a noticeable limp but will continue to exercise on my own. Some days are definitely better than others as far as mobility goes but I still continue to press on thinking that one day it will be "back to normal". I am thankful that I can walk without crutches and that Mr. Wonderful is always close by to let me lean on him especially going down stairs. I like having a personal escort....I could get use to it very quickly.

2. Work around the mission has increased with two containers to be loaded in the next few weeks. One is going to Ethiopia and the other will be going to Bolivia. We are busy securing the needed items and recruiting volunteers to help hand load the boxes, monitors, computers, desks and chairs. Please pray that the Lord will work out the details.

3. Please pray about many important decisions that must be made soon concerning our future employment, health, and final resolution with the insurance company over my knee injury. So many things are " still unresolved" as of this writing and it is easy to become discouraged. We do know that God is in control but waiting is never easy.

4. Please pray about a crummy attitude that I'm sporting right now. I was out of work all summer long and things at the mission have just kept piling up waiting for my return. I was already "burned out" back in May and now looking at the task seems very overwhelming. I'm reminded of the old adage "How do you eat a hippopotamus?" Answer: "One bite at a time!"

5. Please pray that I will continue to make good food choices. Food has always been a source of comfort and I have been known to "over medicate " my self with unhealthy meals and snacks.

6. Today is the first official day of fall. I'm so looking forward to cooler days and night, and everything about fall. I'm looking forward to Becky and Emma coming to spend Thanksgiving with us and having the rest of the family together again. I really miss this little face!

7. I really look forward to getting back into a fall schedule with Bible Study returning and regular programs at church and work. As much fun as the summer has been, fall symbolizes stability and familiarity to me.

Well, that's all the news from the Daisy Patch this week. I look forward to regaining lost ground and being more focused on the task at hand. Hope your week goes well.....Gotcha all prayed up so I'm expecting good things for all of you.

Went to a dinner and dance given by the hospital. I got up on the dance floor and was dancing a fast song..My knees felt good to move and know that I could still dance...Have a great day and I hope you can do what you need to do without wearing yourself out my friend.
