Limping throug Life!

I went to Physical Therapy yesterday thinking I just had two more times and then I would be through. But.....looks like there's no graduation for me this week.

I still have a pronounced limp and have been told that if I stop PT now I'll most likely limp the rest of my life. Now you know my flare for the dramatic caused me to really think this over.

Do I really want to walk like a bridesmaid coming down the aisle at a wedding? It does make for a dramatic entrance but I most certainly wouldn't win a speed walking contest. What if the building was on fire?.... the quickest way for me to exit would be to stop, drop and roll.

While I was contemplating this decision I was also told that limping plays havoc on your body by putting more pressure on the other knee and eventually leading to back pain.

So looks like more torture therapy is in my future. I'm working at strengthening my thigh and hamstring muscles. Who knew it took such effort to put one foot in front of the other. (Sigh)

So sorry to hear about this, Lazy Daisy! sometimes we just have to do what we are told...
Which reminds me to do my knee exercises, those I keep forgetting until it hurts again...

Isn't this the truth!! It is hard, one step in front of the other!

I am so sorry you have to keep on going! I know you had to be let down.... I will be praying this goes faster then you think it will and you will be able to walk just fine!! Love and Hugs, Grams

I have two good knees and I still trip over things! lol Awww I can imagine how discouraged you were when you found out you have to continue with the PT but at least now you know the consequences if you decide to stop now. You've come such a long way already, it's not the time to stop...you go girl! xox

Sorry you have to have more PT!

Btw, my best friend is soon going to have her second hip replacement and she is only 30 years old. She can sympathize with you about how hard it can be to simply put one foot in front of another.

WHERE do you FIND these pictures to go with what you're talkin' about??? I mean come on ... what did you google? KNEE ART??? ROFL!

I am sorry that you have to continue your PT... but it is all for the best in the end! And that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger! So... show me your muscles!

Congratulations for sticking to an exercise routine. I would make sure that I saved all my errands and do them at the same time i went to PT, would make the PT visit seem more worthwhile.

I hope your knee gets better.

You'll make it Daisy! And you'll end up strong, solid and ready for anything. I've added you to my prayers.
