Sunday Seven...Stopping to smell the Daisies!

Sunday Seven...Stopping to Smell the Daisies!

1. It's already August and time to stop and smell the daisies. We are getting some wonderful tomatoes from the garden now. There is nothing like it. They are so good in salads or simply by themselves.

2. Praise the Lord for Ice Cream. What a treat after a hot day at the Mission. My favorite is still vanilla with sprinkles all over it. There is a trick to eating an ice cream cone on a hot summer's day. (The trick is to eat it and not wear it!)

3. Praise the Lord for air conditioning. It certainly makes this time of year much more bearable . It is especially nice at night.
I'm sure we sleep better in a cool house.

4. Praise the Lord that our travel plans have been confirmed for Canada (September 4-14th). We had been told that we could not use our free tickets till September 25th. What a blessing to be able to see our kids much sooner.

5. Look who's sitting up all by herself now and waiting for us in Canada! Only the world's sweetest baby! I'm sure she is calling us on her phone right now. Can you blame me for wanting to be there?

6. My physical therapist has a great sense of humor. He wants me to stand on my left leg, raise my right leg and balance myself for 30 seconds without holding on to anything. I told him I couldn't do that before my accident, what makes him think I can do it now? I'm starting to wonder if Melli has been talking to my therapist.....she's already told me that I have to be in shape for our October Southeast Blogger Babe Tour.

7. My heart grieves today for our dear friend Betty (lady in black) at the loss of her husband this week. Betty has also lost both of her sisters this year. Her sweet husband was a wonderful friend, father figure and mentor to both Mr. Wonderful and myself. Please keep her in your prayers.

Well that does it from the Daisy Patch this week. Hope your are staying cool this week and enjoying the simple things in life. Cue the music, dim the lights and exit thankfully for another week.

That's pretty funny about the therapist wanting you to balance for 30 seconds. You're going to be better than ever!

Good Morning Daisy, I have to do the same balancing act at PT>...Try that with both knees having been done. I am glad we do not have to close our eyes when we do it.Wait until you have to have 3 pound weights on your ankles and hang your legs off of the table.Talk about pain ... pulling the legs straight.
Emma is a doll sitting up by herself.Your trip sounds wonderful!!!
Have a restful Sunday, Love ya, Baba
