Knee Watch...I passed the red porsche test!

My Physical Therapists has a two year old son who loves to come to see Daddy work. Every time he comes he always asks to play with a matchbox red porsche convertible that my therapist keeps in his pocket.

The car not only serves as entertainment for his son but is the unofficial test for leg extension. If the car can pass under your knee when fully extended you fail and the therapist has to work harder and consequently you work harder also. Today I passed the "red porsche test". The car simply bounced back time and time again...no longer able to pass through. Woo Hoo! No Tunnel knee for this Girl! I know it sounds silly but it was a cause celebration here at the Daisy Patch!

Also cause for celebration was my flexion had also increased from 105 degrees to 112 degrees. Full flexion is 125 degrees so I don't have much farther to go. My walking gait is better but not totally pain free or without hesitation. I still walk like a bridesmaid.....it makes for a dramatic entrance but you wouldn't have to worry if we were both being chased by a bear.....you could definitely outrun me.

My next appointment with the surgeon is August 15th and I'm pretty sure I'll be released and pronounced "healed". Thanks for the encouragement and prayers.....this isn't exactly the way I planned on spending my summer.
