Sunday Seven....Things to Praise the Lord about!

Sunday Seven.....the week that was!

1. My Monday court date was all decided before I ever got there. The elderly woman who hit me with her car pleaded "Not Guilty" but was found guilty by the traffic court judge. She was given a lesser ticket than "Reckless driving" but the judge did make her take a vision exam. Now we will be dealing with her insurance company to pay my medical expenses. I was somewhat disappointed that I didn't have an opportunity to speak (I was all primed and ready from watching a Law and Order marathon!) but as usual God was way ahead of me!

2. I am so impressed with my physical therapists. They are wonderful men and women and it's amazing to me how much more mobility I have in my knee just after one week. Don't get me wrong I still walk like "Chester on Gunsmoke " years ago but there is definite improvement. I never knew that ice could burn so badly or that I would be so happy when my knee turned numb.

3. We were blessed by 12 very wonderful people from our home church in Savannah, Georgia. This group is a small home group that meets weekly for Bible Study and prayer. They have been working at the mission for the last two days and it is amazing how much work they were able to accomplish. They are resting up and playing tourist today. Please pray for their safety as they drive back to Georgia on Monday. We were blessed by their hard work and servant' s heart.

4. We are going to have to delay our trip to Canada till September. We are disappointed, but know that there must be a reason behind the delay. These are free tickets and can only be used at specific times. Our daughter assures us that Canada in the fall is spectacular and that Emma will only get cuter with age. The free tickets will save us at least 1200 dollars so we are thankful for God's provision. For pure enjoyment check out Miss Em!

5. The dates have been set to take our road trip to Savannah to see Flip Flop Floozie. This is what happened the last time Melli and Floozie got together! ( I was really afraid that I might be asked to move.....needless to say I' m not welcomed at Walmart anymore!) Plans are being made to meet up with some of our other favorite Southern Bloggers .

6. I am thankful for my friend and neighbor Beckie. She keeps me grounded and centered and never lets me get away with less than what I am capable of doing or being. She reminds me constantly of God's goodness and her pictures uplift my spirit and remind me daily of God's design and His Glory.

7. I praise the Lord for a day of rest and solitude. This has been a hard week for me physically, spiritually and emotionally. I look forward to a day of recharging , restoring ,
and letting my spirit catch up with my body. I look forward to spending time at church and then taking a long nap Sunday afternoon.

Know that you are all prayed up for the week. Cue the music, dim the lights and exit thankfully for another week of life.

I love your list! Of course, I am so excited about Savannah! I'm glad things are going well...you've been in my prayers and on my heart so much as you've gone through this whole experience. May today bring you the kind of "rest and recharging" that is beyond understanding. And my you have a peaceful week this week.
