Sunday Seven.....things that made me smile!

Sunday Seven.....Things that made me smile!

1. My friend Melli left last Monday after a whirlwind trip to see me. She blew into town to cheer me up and left after cleaning my entire house, making liver and onions for Mr. Wonderful, and promises for an adventure come this fall. Blog sisters are the best!

2. Mr. Wonderful and I continue to celebrate our 34th anniversary today. He surprised me with a beautiful silver and turquoise bracelet that he picked out all by himself . He told me he has been looking for "just the right one" since I lost my favorite bracelet last December. I love it what do you think? We are going out to lunch after church today.

3. Got a call from oldest daughter and Miss Emma. Emma had the giggles and it made me giggle too! Isn't it amazing how baby laughter always make you smile? Plans are being made for an August trip to Canada......I can hardly wait!

4. Boy Wonder called also to wish us happy anniversary. He asked me if "Dad had been treating me right and promptly asked to speak to him to give him some pointers" . Gotta love that boy for watching out for him Momma.

5. I got some unexpected calls today from my very best friend in Atlanta and from a sweet Godly older lady that I want to be when I grow up. She was such mentor and adopted mom to me as a young wife and mother and taught me "old Indian tricks" that might help but wouldn't hurt cranky babies! It was such a special treat and totally unexpected.

6. Friday a friend of mine dropped over with lunch and stayed for two hours talking, looking at pictures of grand babies (hers and mine) and catching up on each other. She is going on a mission trip to Africa in August......her enthusiasm was contagious and made me smile .

7. " I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord." I always look forward to going to church and worshiping with fellow believers. It feeds my soul and strengthens my spirit for another week. Hope you were able to attend a service that lifted you up!

That's it from the Daisy Patch this week. Dim the lights, cue the music and exit thankfully.

Miss Daisy,

You don't know me but I'm a friend of Jennifer's. Thank you for an inspiring post. I needed it today and I love your description about dimming the lights, cueing the music, and exiting thankfully. We have a hard time doing that sometimes!

Happy Anniversary and Happy Sunday! God is so good, all the time!
