Sunday Seven ... Confessions on Dingledine Lane

THIS week neither marvelous Melli NOR I remembered to count our blessings during the week... I wasn't actually entirely sure I had any left until she showed up ... and then we found some! So WE decided to combine and do a Sunday Seven TOGETHER! These are the seven things that marvelous Melli and I are collectively thankful for!

1. We ARE both thankful to Mr. Wonderful for being the bestest chauffeur / photographer / wheel chair pusher / historian and bag holder today! He took us on a wonderful tour of Dayton and beyond and was just delightful and helpful and ... well... wonderful!!! Cuz that's what he is! Really. (even Melli thinks so!)

2. WE are ever so thankful for this time we are sharing together and being allowed to have so much fun... again... even if Floozie can't be with us. (or any of our other blog friends either)

3. WE are thankful for cameras with working batteries so that we can document all of our outrageous shenanigans (on Dingledine Lane)...

4. WE were blessed that the Green Valley Book Fair chose this weekend to be in town with Melli. Of course, I did NOT spend over $60 on books... but I'm not speaking for Melli.

5. We are thankful for broccoli cauliflower salad, cornbread muffins with apple butter and ONE of us is even thankful for peanutbutter pie (... I think crutches and peanutbutter go together well!)... which we ate at the Thomas House ... near Dingledine Lane.

6. WE are so sorry to be thankful for Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie from the Dayton Farmer's Market, made by skinny little Mennonite women in aprons and caps and long dresses... who also twisted some one's arm ( who happens to have red hair and no crutches) and made her buy a cream filled horn and a gooey chocolate eclair ... against her will... (said with fingers crossed behind her back, looking for lightning to strike at any moment) .

7. WE are so thankful that WE have the opportunity to go to Church together today at Blue Ridge Church Of Christ. (which we hope has not mysteriously moved to Dingledine Lane) .

OH, me too. I am so jealous. It sounds like you guys are having the best of times. Your cup runneth over with blessings. Melli is just what the doctor ordered, Daisy. Hang in there, my friend. Better days are ahead!

OH, I'm also participating in Seven Seven this week -- at the new domain (thanks to my hacker friend. We had to set up a new domain to get control away from him. Since I paid for it, I figured I might as well put it to use. So, if you don't mind ... bookmark, or link "Quiet Time with Carolyn". Its going to be an "ad free" blog, and I'm going to try and get back that piece of me that I've been missing. Just some regular old blogging and socializing with friends!

WHAT FUN!! I know the kind of fun that you two have together now don't I? But even if I had been able to come I would have had to stay at home because I am really sick this weekend. My throat is a mess!! I am down for the count!! I feel awful!!I can just swallow...
Boy what fun..someone was twisting someone arm from eating all of that wonderful stuff!! Guess you can just forget about weighing in but Daisy you dont have to think about that now anyway. I hope that Melli's visit has helped you!! Sandy

sounds like "a great time was had by all!" Be careful the secrets you give away -- they often come back and bite your hindquarters! LOL

Thanks for coming by my blog -- I was writing my SS as you visited!

i feel blessed to be able to 'dig jesus" with blogging buddies like you :) thanx for your prayers and thoughts.

I was going to e-you earlier in the week to pray. Keep us in prayer, especially for my mom... I pray that she feel the love and strength of our L-rd. Also pray for me and Alle as we do our second show on saturday. WHile I tend to be competitive, this one's to glorify the Deity and dad FIRST
