Knee Watch Report

Week 2 of Physical Therapy is going much better than I ever expected! I had a really busy weekend and was on my knee much more than I should have been. It was very stiff and sore yesterday and I was afraid that I may have pushed back my recovery time.

I was pleased and delighted to see a vast improvement just since last week. I was on a stationery bike which I could normally get my leg to the 10 and 2 positions and that with lots of determination and some real stress. Yesterday with about 3 minutes into the exercise I actually got a full rotation going. I was so pleased you would have thought that I was Lance Armstrong on the final lap of the Tour de France. I was actually disappointed when the therapist made me "slow down" and be kinder to my knee.

So I'm wearing the yellow jersey today.....I definitely won that lap. It's really wonderful to see some progress. I was starting to worry that I would be hobbling the rest of my life.

My cheerleaders (also known as my partners in crime) have assured me that I must be up to the rigorous demands of our Southeast Blogger Babes Tour by October. Melli has assured me that buggy racing in the Walmart parking lot was soooooo yesterday and that she has progressed to bigger and better plans. I do know that she expects us all to go to the Tea Room in long dresses, hats and gloves (Lord, have mercy!) Savannah will never be the same!

Yeah for your knee, I know how grueling it can be to get fully functional again. Mr Wings shattered BOTH knees in a big car accident a few years ago it was pretty bad.
I want to see pictures of you dressed up LOL

How wonderful that your knee is improving so quickly....I ride on the bike at PT for ten minutes to warm up before the other stuff. My right knee is still with pain most of the time. The bad news is that I have a UTI at present and on meds for this problem.I am so worried that this infection will travel to my knees. Please pray that it does not, or I would have to have the replacement removed. Blessings to you, and see you in Savannah. Baba
