Counting my Blessings Edition
1. I laughed when I saw this picture of a person walking on their hands on the beach. Du
ring the last 5 weeks I certainly have felt like I've been walking on my hands and that my world has been turned upside down. In reality I have merely been "inconvenienced" and "slowed down". I have found out what a wonderful design knees are......(God does good work!)
2. I have seen the very best of my family. Our children have grown up into wonderful caring adults. Mr. Wonderful has been very protective and good at anticipating what I might need. Oldest daughter made wonderful meals, cleaned and of course let me rock and play with our precious grandchild. Baby Girl hosted all of her rowdy family and came up with activities that all of us could enjoy and made all of us feel welcomed. Boy Wonder was always an arm to lean on, and a source of fun and laughter for me. All of them have expressed there affection and concern in so many ways that I am humbled by their love and overwhelmed by their loyalty.3. I found out that I am not the center of the universe and that life goes on without me! What a shock! Work actually gets done. The house mysteriously gets clean, dishes get washed, and ministry continues.

4. I discovered that a hug cures a lot of hurts and speaks volumes to a hungry heart. There are some hurts that there are no words of comfort...sometimes a hug says it all.

5. I have been comforted by my "invisible friends" of the blogsphere and discovered that the world is really a small place after all. Thank you for your words of encouragement and your wisdom for those of you that have gone through similiar experiences.

6. I am encourgaged that there is an end in sight. I choose to believe that I will have a functional knee at the end of this surgery. I choose to to believe that with therapy and persistence that I will be back on my feet without the use of crutches. I choose to believe that I will be running after grand babies....and continue to be a

7. I am convinced that God is in control and that all the details are in His hand. I do appreciate your prayers for my knee surgery on Tuesday (around noon). I get scared just going to the dentist so this is causing me great concern.
So dim the lights, cue the music, and go out grateful for another week of life. God is good all the time, all the time ....God is good.

I will pray for you! I too have had recent surgery, and I pray that you will quickly heal and recover.
Thank you for your Sunday seven!
What a wonderful SS! I like your #3- isn't it funny how we think that we are the center of the universe!
I will praying for you as you are having your surgery that God will have His hand on you!
Hunh... That's funny... we keep trying to teach Amanda that SHE is not the center of the universe also... I wonder if somebody has to hit HER with a Mac Truck!? (NO God... I'm not wishing... I'm just SAYING...) I'm sure all that stuff IS getting done... but SURELY it's not being done AS WELL! Riiiiiiight? LOL! (If Dennis were cleaning my house it would get done BETTER! But that's only because he knows he only has to do it for a SHORT time... not forever!) And now you're going to hear your phone ring in just a minute ... cuz I'm calling! So answer! :)
You didn't answer! Call me!
Thanks for your graciousness like always...I know that sometimes we think that things just would not run very well without us but guess what it all works just fine...hmm!! I am thinking of you now and will be praying for you this Tuesday. You will be doing fine...Barb (BABA) says that it will be like a walk in the park...course you know she just had a double knee replacement! For her it would be!! smile!! Thanks as always for stopping by!! I love your encouragement but I have missed you stopping by...I always know that you are not feeling well or something is up when I do not see you blogging or not stopping by my site. I'm sorry to hear about your surgery. My absence from blogging for quite some time made me miss many things here. Hope everything is all well with you now.
Aren't grown kids that are a blessing to you just the greatest? And even more so when they give beautiful little babies to hug and snuggle?
