Daisy has left the building.....

I'm about to leave to go to the hospital to repair my knee. I'm some what apprehensive since the last time I had surgery they used ether! I've been told that they have made considerable improvements since then!

Mr. Wonderful has had 5 surgeries and assures me it's a piece of cake. They give you lovely drugs and you feel no pain. I certainly will be glad to have it behind me and get on with the business of healing and having a functional knee.

We have a volunteer team at the mission of 21 people from Savannah. They all came by yesterday to see me and have prayer with me. (Mr. Wonderful hates to waste a good house cleaning so he had invited them.) They will be here all week and I can have my own private duty nurse if I want one (thanks Vickie).

In our devotions for this morning from the 50th Anniversary edition of Our Daily Bread....this is the comfort that the Lord gave me.

"It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes" Psalm 119:71

Shortly before Scottish missionary John G. Paton died, a friend said to him, "I am sorry to see you lying on your back." Smiling , Paton asked, "Do you know why God puts us on our backs?"After his friend answered no, the missionary replied, "In order that we may look upward."

So consider yourself prayed for today....I've had plenty of time to think about each of you. Surgery will be about noon. See you soon.

You have been in my prayers today. From Suzy's comment, you came through the surgery just fine.
Isn't it wonderful how God gives us just the words we need, when we need them. He is SO good to us.
You are loved and prayed for my dear sister in the Lord.
