My surgery went well....I know cause I got to watch it. Yep, I actually watched it while it was being preformed. I had a spinal block and mild sedation but enjoyed the show. My doctor loved the attention and pointed out everything on the screen.
It was really interesting and certainly made the time go by quickly. I was home by 4 o'clock and have a large compression bandage on my knee that I can take off in two days. I go back in three weeks. Mean while I have exercises to do at home , elevation and ice on the knee and pain medication.
Our pastor and youth pastor came by and prayed with us before the surgery. I appreciated all your prayers they really helped as I was really apprehensive about this surgery. I am so glad to have it behind me now and am looking forward to letting the healing begin.
I'm still on crutches for now but am able to bear more and more weight on my left knee. Thanks for your calls, emails, comments and well wishes. I appreciated all of them. You're the best!

man! I've been out of the loop. I hope your knee heals nicely, with no complications at all! **hugs** I couldn't have watched my surgery, though. I'd have passed out. ;)

Do those exercises at home ..Do you have to go to Physical Therapy ???
I will start my 4th week of PT this week.All is going well ; with some pain .I still have trouble sleeping at night.I can't find a comfortable position..Take care my friend.
