The waiting continues.....

I went to the orthopedist on Wednesday and he poked and prodded, looked at the x-ray from the ER and said I needed an MRI. This was no big surprise as I haven't been able to put weight on my foot and because I can't lift my leg without physically picking it up.

We went by Curves with my physical disability form and waited for the call to schedule the MRI. I guess I've watched too much "House" or "ER" because I thought I would be able to get in right away. We got a call today and my MRI is scheduled for Wednesday at 7am.

I'm sure the Memorial Day Weekend is also a factor for not being able to schedule sooner. Anyway, the orthopedist told me that he would not get the report for 3 to 4 days after the exam. So, I'm not going anywhere any time soon. My knee still hurts when I put any weight on it and I'm pretty sure there is internal damage. I'm really getting tired of hurting and it doesn't look like it will end any time soon.

My chest and arms are sore from the crutches. I am developing upper body strength!
(Maybe I'll have toned arms by the time this is all over....woo hoo, one can only hope!) I wear out quickly as everything takes so much effort to complete. Who knew knees were so important! (Reminder: Tell God He does good work!)

That's my Daisy...looking on the bright side of everything! Keep those toned arms in mind!! :D
I am aggravated for you that you have to wait a WHOLE OTHER WEEK...that's a pain :( Ah, though...Emma won't care if you're walking or not! I just hope you're comfortable enough to enjoy your weekend!!
Do you have people bringing food and such? Are you getting help?
I love you, girl :) (...and, that smarty Sandy....she is 45 minutes away from me! I am just now finding this out...I had dinner about 20 minutes away from her tonight and didn't know it!!)

see if you can find a good massage therapist, it could work wonders while you are waiting. Truly

TV shows are so misleading. Heck, even with a suspected brain tumor I had to wait over a week for an MRI. First available time was 10:30 at night (which is better than 5 a.m., but still...)

I hope you have a relatively pain free weekend!

I am so praying for you! This is a long time to wait! My boys have had several MRI's for sports injuries and it seems they are always able to get us right in and do a "cold read". I am praying that Emma brightens your world and helps you forget the pain for some time.

Hugs to you!!

:-) Susan

I don't like the thought of anybody in pain, especially when it's friends:-( It's a shame that you have to wait another week before finding out anything but I love that you're keeping your spirits up, bless your heart! Have fun with Emma:-) xoxo

When and if you need knee surgery, ask about meds that keep you from getting sick from the anestecia......I had surgery on Friday, they gave me Regelen(sp) and it through me into a major anxiety attack and I'm still in it. I keep praying and taking Xanex to help. Please check on the meds before they give them to you. I will be praying for you
