A weekly meme for giving thanks and/or for noting important events in our lives. If you want to join in click here.
- VHS has a program called "The Best Week Ever" .....so far I'm not having the best week ever. I could say Why Me? but I'd rather as "What are you up to God?"
- On Friday I posted a verse from Isaiah "They who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." The post was about flapping versus soaring. Today I'm just trying to walk and not faint.
- Friday our hot water heater died (after only 46 years) . We have a cistern to store water and had just gotten water delivered on Thursday. When the water heater decided to die it also decided to suck all the water out of the cistern and deposit it on the basement floor.
- When the plumber (a friend) came by Friday night to look over the situation and tell us what he would need ( a new water heater tank) he knocked on the door which scared our lap cat JJ who jump off my lap leaving long claw scratches on my calf and thigh that drew blood. (Can you say Ouch!)
- Saturday, it took over 3 hours to put the water heater in. We also paid for another load of water. I am pleased that I know that next week when my kids and Emma come for a visit we will indeed have hot water.
- We went to the garden shop to get some bedding plants for our garden and had a wonderful time till I was hit by a car driven by a senior citizen while walking to my car in the parking lot. Yep, I actually got hit by the car, flipped over the hood and landed on my stomach , hands and knees on the payment. I can now officially mark off stunt woman on my life list. The senior citizen was quite insistent that I had walked into her but since the accident occurred in the middle of the parking lot and my hand prints were on the hood she was given a ticket and I was given a ride to the hospital in a EMS ambulance.
- After many x-rays of my hands and knee, and chest I was discharged with a knee immobilizer, and crutches, pain medication and the name of an orthopedist. They also told me that I would feel worst tomorrow and true to their word I do. However, I am glad to be alive, to be bruised and not broken, and to continue to have the opportunity to hold my one and only grandchild this coming Saturday.
So What are you up to God? You've got my attention.

DAISY!! Girl!! How TERRIBLE!!! Oh, I'm SO glad you're OK...it could have been much, much worse...and I don't even want to imagine it!! My grandmother finally had to give up her drivers' license when she got angry and ran into someone in her car...on purpose. I worry about senior citizens driving :( I am saying a prayer for you NOW that you'll be good as new by the time Emma reaches your arms!!! Big hugs to you (((((HUGS)))))...honey, after a week like you've had, I wish I could deliver it in person!!
Becky told me about your accident. I am extremly glad to hear that you are not in the hospital and you can move around!
Here's to a speedy recovery and lots of play time with the super cute Emma!
Thanks so much for giving me a "heads up" on this little sky diving or should I say ground diving escapade of yours!! You know it is not nice to go around running into little ole' ladies cars...now don't you??? Remember to respect your elders!! ((smile))!! I knew you would be very sore today!! I hope the pain medication is working well. I am praying for a speedy recovery for you so that you can hold that grandbaby that you have been waiting for so very long now!! God must have something in store for you my friend. Like you said he has your attention now for sure!! Take care!! Watch those older drivers!! They might be after you!! Love you and Miss you..Sandy
Girl, what on earth are you doing kissing a car??? Thank God you were not seriously hurt! You had me so worried when I read your comment on my blog, don't scare me like that!!! LOL Take good care of yourself, take those pain pills and let Mr. Wonderful wait on you hand and foot! Love you and keeping you in my prayers!
Daisy, I am still sitting here with my mouth WIDE open! You could have been seriously hurt. I just thank God you are OK. I bet you scared Mr. Wonderful! You rest up and heal. You are going to need those knees to bounce Miss Emma on.
{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} Consider yourself hugged and prayed for my dear friend. And watch out for little old ladies driving in parking lots!!!
Ouch! I can feel that. I experienced being scratch by a cat and it is no joke. I'm sorry to hear your not so good week but I'm sure everything will turn out okay.
Thanks for dropping by. I have not been blogging lately as I really do not have time for it. I haven't quitted blogging just resting.
Daisy - Oh my!!! How are you doing? Are you still in pain? This is terrible, I feel so bad for you. I hope there are no lasting injuries. I hope Mr. Wonderful is taking good care of you. Take it easy Daisy.
Oh no, what a week. I am so glad you are alright, and so sorry that you were hurt as much as you were. I came to read your Photo Hunt meme but had to comment on this. Please rest and relax. A lot.
