Georgia On My Mind

Queen Elizabeth was in Virginia this week. I'm bummed that I wasn't invited to join her for tea. I'm sure my invitation was lost in the mail. Too bad, as I had the perfect hat to wear. Her majesty was in Virginia to help celebrate the 400th anniversary of Jamestown. While in town she addressed the state assembly, met with Virginia Tech survivors and spent the night in Williamsburg.

I wonder which hat she will wear to the Kentucky Derby? I once read a pictorial article in Time magazine called, "God Save the Queen....from her hats!" It showed Queen Elizabeth in 50 plus years of hats!

Actually, Georgia is on my mind. We leave Saturday afternoon to make our annual pilgramage to Savannah.

This stay at home lazy daisy is still in a daze from being in New York City just last week.

I've barely had time to wash up our clothes and repack. This coming week will be filled with all kind of fun. I'm always treated like a visiting dignitary by long time friend Flip Flop Floozie. I imagine many a fun filled adventure as well as meeting with as many of our supporters as possible.

Our schedule could already rival the Queen's with lunch, dinner and breakfast meetings. This Daisy Queen is still hoping to make a scheduled stop at our favorite Tea Room.

No time to play today.....this Daisy is on the Road!
