This is a blue daisy because this daisy is blue. I am now officially in the USA but I am writing this post from the Crown Plaza in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
We got our luggage, went through customs, rechecked the bags, went through security (the third time today) and had checked in to make our flight to Richmond when they asked if anyone wanted to give up their seat for a free round trip ticket good until next October, hotel room, dinner and breakfast vouchers and assurance that we could be in Richmond by noon tomorrow.
Mr. Wonderful's hand shot up like fireworks on the fourth of July! So here we are in Minneapolis....tired but thrilled that we will be able to make our spring visit to see our baby and her baby.
It was a well timed trip and a wonderful visit but I do think they will need time to bond with their new baby and to work out their routine by themselves. Poor son-in-law needs some down time without whirlwind Daisy and dynamite Daddy rushing in to overwhelm them with unsolicited advice or totally taking over.
It's a southern thing that we consider quite charming but can be intimidating.
Home is looking better all the time but for tonight I'm bunking with my sweety in a king size bed, with a full stomach and the promise of spring....new life, and a free ticket to Saskatoon. Can life get much better than this?
I'll catch up with ya in the daisy patch.

This is good!! I am so glad that you got a free ticket!! Wonderful!! I am sitting here crying and you are happy about going back. Our Lucy is gone and we know it for sure now. I will get better. I just have to get over it now. Take care and let us know when you are finally home..Love Sandy
Daisy - Sounds like a great deal, a day's delay for a wonderful trip to see your grandbaby.
Oh, and I'm sure your son-in-law loves you guys.
WOW~what a spectacular late Christmas gift!!! Looking forward to your return. You can come see our new addition if your arms start to ache.
Give me a hollar.
Oh yea, it is a southern thing and something I'm having trouble with myself.
Oh Daisy, what a gift from God. Don't ya just love how he takes care of our needs AND our wants!!! I am so thrilled for you and Mr. Wonderful.
Have a safe trip home.
That would definitely have worked for me too.
Have a joyous New Year.
Waving at you from NYC,
Frances
What a wonderful blessing
God is sooooooo very very good! He certainly attacked THAT problem head on -- and now it's solved! Hooray! and Amen!
I loved your simile for the raised hand. Glad you had a good trip and are home safe and sound.
