Charlie on Clothesmore

Have you ever told anyone you had "a mountain of work" to do?

Well I have, and here's a picture of my mountain

with my Mr. sitting atop Mount Clothesmore.

Mt. Clothesmore is composed of used clothing

that has been donated to Equipping the Saints.

At one time we probably had about 30 tons of clothing

that needed to be processed and sorted.

Some of the clothing had been here longer than we have!

We've been here two years now!

To make matters worse, we discovered a roof leak over the clothing pile

so lots of the clothing had mold and mildew.

Mold and mildew have a penetrating way of staying in your nose and in your head.

My sense of smell will probably be compromised forever now.

My job is to hand sort each piece of clothing to make sure there are

no tears, rips, missing buttons, stains or dirt and then put them into laundry carts

to be rolled, boxed, taped, and weighed for overseas shipment.

As you might imagine, it takes lots of volulnteers to complete this task.

Saturday we are sending out a thousand boxes of clothing to Tajikistan.

Currently, I'm 110 boxes short and this is Thursday!

Gotta Go......I have a mountain of work to do and miles to go before I sleep.
