Bennetches

It's Sunday afternoon.

My mister is napping and once again I find myself in a reflective mood. I'm sure part of it is because it has been a physically challenging week and I'm weary. My body aches, and my spirit is heavy and I feel like a very dull girl.

I was looking through some pictures and came across this one. It made me smile! (ok, I'll admit it......I thought I looked really good and even fondly remembered my husband's mustache.) My babies are adorable and it reminded me of a simpler time.

I came across this quote today: The family-that dear octopus from whose tentacles we never quite escape, nor, in our inmost hearts, ever quite wish to."- Dodie Smith

I thought it was very appropriate. I miss the sound of children's laughter now that the "nest" is empty. I miss not having "new" artwork to put on the refrig, or the familiar, "What's for dinner, I'm starving?!" Looking back over this picture is seems like it was only yesterday!.....Where did the time go?

Hmmm.......memories are like home made cookies,

sweet, warm, slightly nutty and best served with a good cup of tea!

Speaking of which, think I'll go get a cup now!

I really like this picture of your guys. It is funny how time flies by so quickly and you look back and wonder "WHO are those people"?
