The Tea Room on Broughton Street! What a slice of heaven! I look forward to going everytime I am in Savannah.
We made reservations several days ago and here we are Sandy Wagoner, me and Susan Bowers. Two of the wildest, craziest, fun women that I know and definitely "from my tribe and from my clan." We were also joined by my good buddy Dawn Darley.
The ambience was enchanting, the company delightful, the food delicious, the conversation fascinating, the service wonderful and we all felt like truly southern gentel women. We fought over who ordered the best tea....my favorite empiror's bride or Susan's favorite .....winter solitice. I bow to you Susan , you win hands down. Thanks for giving me a tin of Winter's Solitice to take back to Virginia. I promise to pray for you with every cup.
This afternoon I had a great gab fest with Dawn. What fun to catch up on her life and see how the Lord is using her in hospice nursing. I love to see people working in their area of giftness . It blessed me to have a small part in her life and to know I can still have an active part through my prayers.
This evening was a time to share with another area church about Equipping The Saints. I don't believe they caught the full signficiance of the ministry but we were able to meet a delightful young man named Matthew that I believe the Lord will use in ministry in the near future. It could well be that our whole purpose for being there was just to meet Matt.
Later this evening we went to the clothing ministry "Wear to Go" warehouse. It was fun to see the set up that God has provided for them and how it is growing and meeting needs. It was a blessing to know that we have had a small part in helping to get this ministry started.
I'm really tired tonight and may never eat again. Well , at least not until tomorrow. Tommorow is "Chick-fil-a" day! We will be looking through the storage units to see if there are items that we need to take back to ETS.....(medical supplies especially).
The weekend will be especially busy meeting with more people and more food. I may have to go on a month long fast when we return to Virginia. Today was a 3 H Day, HOT, Humid, and Hazy .....heat index was up to 108......my 'ole Virginny home is looking better all the time!
