It's Sunday afternoon and time for snoozing, and reflections of the past week. Charlie is snoozing after putting in about 1800 miles of "wheel time" during the past two weeks. He calls it decompressing or "downloading".
I'm catching up on my emails and thank you's and dreading the huge influx of mail on Monday morning from the post office. I'm sure there will be the mixed assortments of bills, advertisements and they usual offers for more credit cards, magazines , or other irresistible items that will find their way to "file 13.....the round receptacle under my desk."
I've been away for two weeks: What have I learned from my adventures?
- Someone will always be disappointed when you have more people to see than time will allow, no matter how much you plan ahead of time.
- Memories make better mirrors.....
- It takes a long time to grown "old friends" (Thanks Mike and Sandy)
- I love to see people working in their area of giftness! (Great job Lee, Dawn, Mark and Rhonda, Celeste, Audrey, Melissa, Dana and Sandy....keep up the good work!)
- God will always raise up a Leader.
- God never wastes a hurt.
- You never really knew what you had till it's gone.
- Blondes do have more fun! (with highligts my silver hair looks like I meant it be that way! Let's hear it for highligts and low lights!) Go Beeks!
- If I 'd known I was this popular before I left I probably wouldn't have ever gone!
- Even "Social Butterflies" need "Cave Time."
- Too much can be just as overwhelming as not nearly enough.
- Reading a good book can be a vacation in and of itself.
- Dorothy had it right all the time: "There's No Place Like Home!"
