Soho Portabella burger

Soho Portabella burger

Once again....a great lunch! We started out bright and early.....the quest....Lady and Sons!

We arrived at 11:30 with huge line just to put your name on the waiting list.

After being told there was a two hour waiting list.....we went off to find

other great places to eat in downtown Savannah.

The winner : Soho's on Liberty Street

The atmosphere was retro:

all sizes and shapes of tables ranging from the 50's, 60's, and 70"s

all the plates, cups, non-matching

Food excellent! I had a portobello mushroom burger that was exceptional

and the side potatoes salad was wonderful.

(Wow....Beeks, you would have loved this place!)

(Our waitress Victoria, was very knowledgeable and helpful with

our food selection and right on with her suggustions.

After a great lunch and long hot stroll we headed back to the parking garage

only to find a longer line at Lady and Sons.....Paula Dean was in town!

So alas, I may have to wait till cooler non-tourist season

to "get my truly southern cuisine".
