This is my favorite time of the day and Lucy's as well. We both enjoy sitting in my office, me at my desk while Lucy prefers sitting on my desk!. It's a good time to sit and reflect on the day or simply watch the birds! We have had some very interesting conversations in here and the nice thing about Lucy she keeps all my secrets!.
Charlie and I went to the library yesterday. It was a nice diversion and I got some interesting books. One is what Charlie calls a "drivel book" and the other is called My Last Days as Roy Rogers. I'm usually drawn to books by the cover ( ok, probably not the best way) but this book had a little girl in a cowgirl hat, holster, guns, shirt and skirt and reminded me of my last days as Dale Evans....Queen of the West. I was taken back to a picture of me with six guns and hat at the age of four.....(same year I got Smokey the Bear). It promises to be a good read and I'm all for being entertained!
My remarkable mom had her purse stolen today as she was going to her car after eating out with friends. She was unusually chipper and calm about the whole event and very glad that she does not carry any credit cards with her and only had about 12 dollars in her purse as well as a ticket to "The Passion of the Christ". She's hoping this young man will at least go see the film since he has a free ticket......won't that make for a remarkable story if he does go and it changes his life forever!
I'm so excited that I actually posted a picture without having to be talked through the whole process...maybe you can teach an old dog a new trick!
