Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

This is one of my new favorite pictures.

Whoopie, Charlie is 2 months old

Oh my goodness, Where has my baby gone? Charlie is two months old now and looking completely different from the infant I knew just a month ago. Awww, just look at that sweet face.

Following tradition of having a monthly party (for the first year) this is Charlie's Sesame Street party. Looks like lots of characters showed up to celebrate including Uncle Andy and Sweet Rachel.

Suzy made colorful Whoopie Pies to celebrate....blue and green which where a big hit with the guests. I know Poppa started smacking his lips just thinking about them.

Wish we could have joined the celebration. Happy 2 month birthday baby Charlie. We love you and pray for you every single day.

Be sweet to your Momma and Daddy and let them sleep a little longer at night. (Just a thought).

Hugs to your big brother Oscar.

We miss you.
XOXO

My Darling Boys as Cupid

Baby Charlie (at one month) makes an adorable Cupid.

Oscar as Cupid (age 4 months)

These are pictures of our adorable grandsons. They are dressed as Cupid and their very talented Mother has made a kit for other moms that would also like to dress their babies for Valentine's Day. She submitted her idea to "ReMarthable Ideas" from the Martha Stewart Show and was featured yesterday on the Martha Stewart Show as well as being featured on her website. Congratulations Suzy we are so proud of you!

Love Child

Simply ReMarthable contestant Suzy from Mount Vernon, New York, creates Valentine's baby photo kits that include felt Cupid wings, a bow and heart-shaped arrow, and red cloth backdrop. Her son is pictured!

Happy One Month Birthday Baby Charlie

Today our youngest grandson turns one month old. This is a picture of us in our party hats at his one week birthday. It's amazing how silly you can get over one tiny little baby.

We love you baby Charlie.

Know we pray for you every single day.

Miss you. Be good to your Momma and Daddy.

your Diva....

(Poppa says he'll eat a whoopee pie in you honor.)

Happy New Year and New Grandson Too!

Hello 2011.....We've been waiting for you. The new year brings new challenges, new hopes, new dreams and the arrival of our second grandson January 7th.

Mr. Wonderful and I arrived in New York several hours before the big ball drop at Times Square. I saw the the New Year arrive on the television while Mr. Wonderful snored in the next room (party animal that he is!)

We spent the week before the birth working on projects and playing with soon to be big brother Oscar. Suzy and Tim left for the hospital very early in the morning the morning of the 7th. All of us breathed a little easier when Tim called to tell us that baby Charlie had arrived and both mom and baby were doing well.

Uncle Andy wanted to go to the hospital with us, so all of us headed to the hospital in the snowstorm. Poppa bought a balloon so Oscar could give it to his baby brother and Andy brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers for his sister.

We were able to see baby Charlie in the recovery room as Suzy hadn't been assigned a room yet. Our first visit was brief but all of us got to hold Charlie and Oscar met his brother.

Poppa and Diva stayed with Oscar while Tim , Suzy and baby Charlie were in the hospital. Oscar looked forward to seeing his parents and brother but it was hard on him when it was time to go home.

Suzy did beautifully and was able to come home a day early. Oscar is a good big brother and very careful not to touch the baby's eyes. On his second visit to the hospital he was able to briefly hold him all by himself. In this picture, Oscar is introducing himself and is telling Charlie "This is my nose".

Baby Charlie is officially named Charles Elliott Bomgardner. He is named Charles after both grandfathers.

This grandfather Charlie thinks baby Charlie is a fine looking boy. He gets a little misty when he looks at his name sake. I know he is already thinking about all the things he wants to teach him and all the robots he wants to build for both of his boys.

I'm thinking seriously of calling baby Charlie "Chip" as a pet name. Since he's not his Poppa but a "chip" off the original old block.

Just at thought.....Welcome to our world, our family and our hearts Baby Charlie.
