Did you ever have one of those days that when you try to lend a helping hand it gets bitten off? Some days are better than others! This was just a goofy picture we took for a laugh at the aquarium.
Today was a maintenance day. We try to get dental cleanings, Cardiac yearly exams, and wellness checks done early in January in case we need to have follow-up exams or appointments. I did my Cologuard exam and mailed it off. I hope it will be ok so I don't have to have a colonoscopy. But I won't be surprised if that is what they recommend.
Anne (formerly known as Emma) is having a birthday later this month so Mr. Wonderful made her a pen on his wood lathe. It is made from many different kinds of wood and is very colorful. Anne is an artist so I am hoping she will love it and the fact that Poppa made it for her. Because of the pandemic we haven't seen her in over a year. She will be 14.
I have been journaling and trying to catch up on all my blogs. I need to start one for little Lexi.
Here's my list of things I would like to accomplish in January.
1. Blog daily here (even though my days are hardly noteworthy!)
2. Lose weight with Eat Like A Bear and intermittent fasting. (see My Weigh of Thinking blog for progress ).
3. Start getting rid of things I don't need, or use anymore. (books will be the first to go.)
4. Organize the food pantry.
5. Pick a grandchild's blog and try to update it...put their Advent ribbon sayings on their or future reference, add stories about them, fill in some family traditions, tell them stories about their mom, or dad when they were kids.
This is a pretty good list and I will be happy to get three of these done this month.
