December 9, Dear Dad, ...This is my first picture, taken at the animal shelter before you ever saw me.  I was skinny, stressed, sickly, and frightened.  You saw me at my worst and still chose me.  You took a chance on me and took me home to foster.  I was one happy dog when you and Mom got the " ok to adopt me" phone call from the shelter.  I guess you were surprised when the vet told you I was an "old dude" somewhere between 12 and 14 years old.   Thanks for opening your hearts and home to me.  Is it any wonder that you are my Alpha? 0re0
