moved to new room

Here's the latest update on my sweet momma.  She was moved into a new room with a new roommate, on a new wing.  For those of you who have never dealt with parents who have dementia let me emphasize that it was traumatic both on her and the nursing staff. 

      My mom is 98% kindness and sweetness but the woman does have an edge and she does not like any change of any kind.  They started an IV to hydrate her and give her additional vitamins to help build up her immunity.  She did not like that either!

   My sister Bobbie and brother in law were able to see mom and talk to her through the screened-in window outside her room. The administrator was with momma during the visit to help her hear the conversations and keep her from pulling out her IV. 

 

   My mom loves her breakfast and according to her new roommate, she ate all of it.  Good News indeed!   All these changes and your prayers have definitely lit a spark in her.  We are encouraged at her spunk and determination.  God is good all the time, even in the worst of times.
