Weekly Review....Discipline

Today is Saturday and time for me to check in with myself on my October goals.  I realize that I have not listed them in my blog even though I did print them out and put the list on my desk.  Did I mention I have a small desk and things get covered up by other miscellaneous items?

I have decided to post my October goals and do a weekly check review.  So here goes:  October Goals for 2019

1.   Start a water aerobics class at the Senior Center.  (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) I already got a swimsuit so now it's just a matter of getting myself in the car and over to the class.   (This didn't happen at all, but I did seriously think about going and rationalized I needed to spend that time getting materials ready for our quarterly newsletter!)
2.  Start walking with Leslie Sansone's video CD in my living room.  (Didn't happen because of #1 and also because our Air Conditioner died, and our house was hot and I'm lazy.)
3. Read my Bible and Scripture every morning before picking up my phone. (Didn't happen at all privately but Mr. Wonderful and I do daily devotions and prayer together every day.  Solution:  keep my phone downstairs and start my day in my office with prayer and Bible reading.)
4.  Wednesday Bible Study: Women's Bible study at the Senior Center, Small Group Bible Study Wednesday Night(No for Women's Bible Study, Yes for Small Group Wednesday night!)
5. Write personal notes, cards, and encouraging text or email.  Yes!
6. Call my mom once a weekYes!
7.  Get serious about losing weight.  No, still eating candy, did get a recipe book on the air fryer.
8. Blog about something every day, and write on grandchildren's blogs! YES
9. Plan a weekly adventure. NO
10.  Have a weekly date.  Yes, if the library counts and takes out Captain D's.
11. Start a bullet journal to measure my progress. Yes
12. Get out a quarterly prayer letter and prayer reminders. Yes, Yes, Yes!

High Lights of the Week:
Writing newsletter, Charlie's prayer reminders, getting out 150 letters of Cuba trip coming up for Charlie Oct. 14th through 21st.

Blogging again felt good.  Writing memories to put on our grandchild blogs felt even better!

Finding 5 awesome books at the library and actually reading them!

Getting a haircut and finding out Tuesdays are the best time to get the beautician I like.

The small group at 2 for 2: I like the intergenerational worship.

Low Lights of the week;

Our air conditioner compressor died and the house has been hot and uncomfortable and I haven't really gotten good sleep.

Not making Bible reading and prayer a priority.

Diet and exercise need to be a priority.

Disciple grade:  C+  (Good start -keep up the good work and add to it!)  Small steps still help you move forward!
