This is my beautiful mom who turns 85 today. The edible arrangement was a Christmas present from my sister Bev. (It was quite delicious too!)
Today is a sad day for her also as today is her last day driving her car. Mom has macular degeneration and her vision has deteriorated and she was unable to pass the vision test.
My two sisters are already in Virginia Beach celebrating with Mom today. Mr. Wonderful and I will join them this weekend. It does look like we will be able to hire a very kind and reliable lady to help mom and also drive her places.
We look forward to meeting her this weekend to see if we can work out a schedule that will help both of them. We are very fortunate indeed to be able to get her assistance. Please keep my mom in your prayers. She is a very independent lady and I'm sure will need some time to adjust to the new arrangements.
(Doesn't my mom remind you of Queen Elizabeth?) I guess it's only right that "the queen" should be chauffeured!
