My weekend with Oscar.

Where did my month go? It seems to be flying by quickly as summer progresses.

Father's Day Weekend we entertained my "Wheel Man" Oscar. He loves wheels and was checking out Poppa's trailer when I took this picture. We got some one on one time with him while his mom and dad celebrated their 11th Anniversary by spending the night away and having some
couple time.

Oz and Poppa had a great time together. It was hard to tell them apart at times. They enjoyed some deep theological talks and of course Poppa had to teach him all about nature and gardening.

They had to check out every tree in the back yard and look for insects, and birds. Poppa had to make the bird calls of all the backyard birds and point them out to Oz. Oscar is a very quick learner and tried to imitate everything that Poppa was doing.

Oscar learned all about vegetables and strawberries and helped water the plants as well as his socks and shoes.

He put on his work gloves and helped me transfer a flower into a bigger pot. He likes dirt and water! What a surprise a boy that likes to play in the dirt!

Oscar also had to check out all the electrical lightening to make sure everything was in working order. Poppa told him all about electricity and can hardly wait to do some science projects with him when he gets a little older.

Since it was Father's Day weekend we made a masterpiece for Daddy. Here we are coloring and gluing on cheerios for the frame. I think he ate more than he glued! We both had fun! I had to proof to Mommy that I'm still crafty!

Oscar can identify the letters in his name. He is pointing out the letter "O" to his Diva. I love the reflection of his sweet face in the car.

He was such a good boy. His only melt down was that he was having too much fun to take a bath. He didn't have much choice as two big people took off his clothes and popped him in the tub. The warm water and play time was enough to make him sleepy and his sweets hugs and spontaneous kisses was the highlight of our day.

Oh my Lord, what a sweetheart he is, those eyes of his would make me melt!! I can well imagine how much you both enjoyed having Oscar to yourselves over the Father's Day weekend:-) All of the pictures are just precious and I had to giggle when I saw you even put him to work!! hehe I bought my grandbaby Lily a little watering can and all kinds of garden toys in the hopes that they come over this summer and I can show her how to take care of my faerie garden...I won't hold my breath that they will make it here though:-( When I last talked to Shawn two weeks ago, he said they'd just been to Mexico again for a week and he didn't think they'd have time to come up here because they're busy. This nana's heart is breaking but I'll just keep praying:-) Love ya! xoxo
