More fun with Emma

Mr.Wonderful and I are back from our trip to Canada. We are missing our little girl today. Thought I would fill you in on some of our activities while we were gone.

Emma and I enjoyed making candy necklaces and bracelets. Not only are they colorful but tasty too. Emma took to stringing the candy beads quickly and made several for her friends . Mommy had to put up the rest of the candy for some later creations before the candy monsters ate all the beads.

Poppa brought along 3D glasses and chalk so we could make sidewalk art. We had Emma lay on the patio and drew her outline and then colored it in so we had a chalk Emma as well as her name in 3 dimension. She was very sad when the rain washed away all our art work.

We did have some nice weather and got to spend some time in Emma's favorite park. This is a very colorful nice place to watch our girl play. This looks like Emma is in training to be "Spider Man". I was amazed at how nimble she is and able to figure out where to put her feet to climb out. (I'm sure I would still be lost in the maze!)

I love this picture of the divine Miss Em. She does love to swing and I love this look of sheer excitement and pure joy on her face. ( make sure you biggify the picture!) It was so much fun to watch her play in her own park.

We played a lot of Dora Candy Land. Emma always picks the player pieces for everyone playing. She is always Dora (big surprise eh?) Diva is always "Boots the monkey" and Poppa is "De-ago " and Daddy was "back pack".

We also watched lots of Disney movies while eating popcorn and apples, read books together, colored, and did a lot of dancing. I miss all of the activities but I especially miss the hugs and kisses. Our week went much too quickly. We tried to squeeze in as many memories as we could but of course we always want more!

Awwwwwwww... I bet you ARE missin' her somethin' horrible today... it is just sO SAD that you have to leave that baby and come home! NO FAIR!

I have to admit I am a HAPPY Nana that Luz has outgrown her love of Dora Candyland! Or ANY Candyland! I always did find it odd though that in all of Luz's Dora games, and she had several... SHE always wanted to be Diego! Weird.

It looks like you guys really had a blast - and really DID make the MOST of your visit! Wonderful memories for you - and for that baby girl!
